D1: Sofia / Arrival
Arrival at Sofia International Airport. Pick up your rental car and drive to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a first walk in Bulgaria’s capital.

 

D2: Sofia
A full day to explore Sofia at your own pace: Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Saint Sofia Church, the ancient Serdica remains, Vitosha Boulevard, museums, cafés and restaurants.

 

D3: Sofia – Plovdiv
Drive to Plovdiv, one of Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Discover its Roman Theatre, Ancient Stadium, colourful Old Town and creative Kapana district.

 

D4: Plovdiv – Bachkovo Monastery – Plovdiv
Take a day excursion to Bachkovo Monastery, one of the most important Orthodox monasteries in Bulgaria, beautifully located in the Rhodope Mountains. Return to Plovdiv for another evening in the city.

 

D5: Plovdiv – Bansko
Drive towards Bansko, a charming mountain town at the foot of the Pirin Mountains. Enjoy its traditional houses, cobbled streets and relaxed mountain atmosphere.

 

D6: Bansko
A full day at leisure in Bansko. Explore the old town, visit the Holy Trinity Church, enjoy mountain views, local cuisine or optional nature activities in the Pirin region.

 

D7: Bansko – Thessaloniki

Return the rental car and depart from Thessaloniki Airport.
