D1: Burgas / Arrival
Arrival at Burgas Airport. Pick up your rental car and drive to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a first walk in Burgas, along the Sea Garden or by the waterfront.

Drive south along the Black Sea coast to Sozopol, one of Bulgaria’s oldest and most charming seaside towns. Explore its cobbled streets, traditional wooden houses, sea views and relaxed coastal atmosphere.

A full day to enjoy Sozopol at your own pace. Discover the Old Town, visit local galleries and churches, relax by the sea or explore nearby coastal landscapes.

D4: Sozopol – Plovdiv
Leave the coast and drive inland towards Plovdiv, one of Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Upon arrival, enjoy time to explore its Roman heritage, colourful Old Town and lively Kapana creative district.

D5: Plovdiv – Sofia
Departure for Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital city. Spend the afternoon discovering the city centre, with highlights such as Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Saint Sofia Church, Roman remains, Vitosha Boulevard and local restaurants.

D6: Sofia – Veliko Tarnovo
Drive towards Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria’s medieval capital, beautifully set on the hills above the Yantra River. Explore the impressive Tsarevets Fortress, the old streets and panoramic viewpoints.

D7: Veliko Tarnovo – Varna
Travel east towards Varna, Bulgaria’s maritime capital on the northern Black Sea coast. Depending on timing, enjoy a walk through the Sea Garden, the city centre or along the seafront.

D8: Varna / Departure
Return the rental car and depart from Varna Airport.
