Day 1: Sofia
Arrival at Sofia International Airport and pick up your rental car. Drive to your hotel in Sofia.

Day 2: Sofia – Rila Monastery – Sofia (220 km)
Guided city tour of Sofia – St. Kliment Ohridski University, St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral, Parliament, St. Sophia Church, St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Russian Church, National Theatre, National Bank, Presidential Office, St. George Rotunda, Banya Bashi Mosque, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Central Market Hall.
In the afternoon, drive to the Rila Mountains and the magnificent Rila Monastery (UNESCO), one of Bulgaria's landmarks. It was founded in the 10th century by the hermit Ivan of Rila and is a true example of the Bulgarian Renaissance.

Day 3: Sofia – Plovdiv – Hisarya (190 km)
Drive to Plovdiv, one of the oldest cities in Europe and former European Capital of Culture (2019). Enjoy the old Plovdiv – the Roman Theatre (UNESCO), the Balabanova House, the Ethnographic Museum, the cobbled streets and the authentic Bulgarian Revival houses, and spend some time in the colourful and lively Kapana district. Continue to Hissarya. Overnight stay in Hisarya.
Day 4: Hisarya
Hisarya has been known for its thermal springs since Roman times. This place was once an active Roman health resort and a place of rehabilitation for wounded Roman soldiers. Today it is a fantastic holiday resort with professional spa hotels, exquisite local cuisine, remarkable sights and historical monuments as well as panoramic scenery. Enjoy the day at the spa centre of your hotel. Overnight stay in Hisarya.

Day 6: Hisarya – Kazanlak – Koprivshtitsa (180 km)
Drive to the Valley of the Thracian Kings and visit the capital – Kazanlak. The town is also known as the capital of roses. The production of rose oil has been an authentic local craft since the 18th century. Visit to the Thracian tomb of Kazanlak (UNESCO) and the Rose Museum. Continue to Koprivshtitsa, one of the most romantic and authentic towns in Central Bulgaria.
Overnight stay in Koprivshtitsa.
Day 7: Koprivshtitsa – Sofia (110 km)
Stroll through the cobbled streets of Koprivshtitsa and visit the local house to feel the spirit of the Bulgarian Revival period.
Drive back to Sofia. Free time in the Bulgarian capital. Overnight stay in Sofia.
Day 8: Sofia
Drive to Sofia International Airport and return flight to your destination, depending on the flight schedule.
